Volunteer!
Responsibilities
All volunteers of the HIMC 2022 will work online and in-person. There are several departments: Design, Fundraising, Marketing, Media, and Social Media. Training will be provided. Main responsibilities include:
Design (1-2 people)

Designing the logo, website, and merchandise

Creating flyers for applicants, schools, directors, and organizations to see
Fundraising (1-2 people)

Reaching out to different organizations

Helping with sponsorship plan by creating benefits..
Marketing (1-2 people)

Researching schools, directors, and music organizations on the local, state, national, and international level

Contacting through emails and cold calls
Media (1-2 people)

Researching media outlets, freelancers, and high school/college writers

Contacting through emails and cold calls
Social Media (1-2 people)

Designing and writing social media posts based on platform (Twitter- short and sweet, hashtags; Instagram- a little longer, mostly image/post based; Facebook- longer, and mostly written based

Post social media posts at scheduled times (preferably once per week at least)
Eligibility
All volunteers of the HIMC 2021-2022 season will work online and in-person. All rules of eligibility are as follows:
-Applicants must be age 15 by January 1st, 2022
-Volunteers must commit at least 2-3 hours per week, minimum 2 weeks per month
-The HIMC will interview and select candidates they feel will best represent the HIMC and have the qualities most fit for volunteering with the HIMC.
-Accepted volunteers must go through a 1-hour orientation, specific instructions will be sent via email.
